Facilities
The Environmental Training Centeršs Cincinnati
facility is located at 415 S. Cooper Avenue. The facility consists of an
administrative office, a large high bay hands-on workshop area and two classrooms
(20 x 32 & 16 x 30). Both classrooms are equipped with a
computer, TV, VCR, overhead and slide projectors. One room is equipped with
a computer for projection of course material onto a 35-inch color monitor
and for student research of Internet sources for pertinent material relating
to course subject matter. The other room is equipped with a LCD projector
for projection of class material. The Center has a room mockup within the
high bay area. The room is complete with windows, doors, floor and ceiling.
This room can be used to establish a negative pressure enclosure with the
application of poly, tape, critical barriers and negative air machines. Negative
pressure can be measured with our manometer. Exercises can be accomplished
in, around the building, and at the perimeter of the property. The
Center has half face, full face and PAPR respirators and the capability to
perform respirator fit testing using irritant smoke. Air monitoring
equipment (high & low flow pumps) is also available. Other equipment
included heat guns, water sprayers, scrappers, chemical removal materials
(this is simulated with non-caustic materials), and sampling equipment (soil
coring, dust templates, baby wipes, vials and bottles for various samples
such as water, soil and dust).
